'Simplicade'
​
'Simplicade', influenced by the word simplicity which means to be uncomplicated in terms of design. This acrylic painting had quite random brushstrokes yet followed the pattern of roses in which the petals follow a spiral-like pattern. A mix of soft, warm and cool tones was used to add depth and create an overall eye-catching piece. The brushstrokes were inspired by impasto, Van Gogh's style of brushstrokes.
Sunflowers in the sunset

The painting illustrates the sun setting over a field of sunflowers thus the title 'Sunflowers in the sunset'. Blending in the colours and creating a field of sunflowers was definitely challenging but I was satisfied by the end result.
Mikrokosmos

'Mikrokosmos' influenced by the word microcosmos which refers to a little world. This painting represents a cell. The colours blue, pink and purple were chosen due to its aesthetic colour combination. Golden Flight​

This mixed media painting used watercolour and makeup. Watercolour was used for the background, branches and flower. Then two birds were drawn to look like their dancing (with pencil). Then the birds were filled in with eyeshadow and lastly, highlighter was used on the background to create tints of shimmer. This gave an effect of gold dust thus the title 'Golden Flight'. Using makeup was definitely new but fun therefore I look forward to using it again in art.
